1. Why do I need to service my skis and snowboard?  

If your skis & snowboard haven’t been out of the cupboard or the garage since your last ski trip now is the time to get them out and take a look. Are the edges rusty, bases white or dry?  Is there any damage to the base?

A full ski service will ensure your equipment is ready for the ultimate ski, a hot hand wax finish helps embed wax deep into the pores of the base and puts the moisture back into the skis & snowboard. We will also remove any rust by sharpening and polishing the edges. 

2. I've been skiing already this year, do I need to re-wax my skis/snowboard?  

It would be a good idea to get your skis & snowboard re-waxed to restore the moisture lost and lack of snow early in the season may have caused a bit of damage to the edges which may have lost a bit of grip. A 2nd ski service will ensure your skis are sharp and ready to hit the ski slopes again.

3. Ski season over, what do I need to do to my skis/snowboard before I put them into storage? 

All skis and snowboards should have a storage wax placed on them as the last thing before they are put into storage.  A storage wax is a thick layer of ski wax which covers the edges and is not scraped away. This layer keeps the moisture in the base and reduces any oxidisation of the base or rust on the edges protecting your skis whilst in storage.
